At Beckfoot Oakbank we aim to make our students successfully open-minded, theologically resilient global citizens.

Our lessons encourage students to think deeply and critically by evaluating evidence, developing an understanding of different groups and communities, analysing interpretations and makin judgments, to be able to challenge poisoned narratives.
We aim to give students the knowledge and the skills to be able to think globally as well as ‘speak like a theologian’ and to be confident in articulating their own thoughts and opinions. To be able to understand how and why others have different views based on their worldviews.
Enrichment
Students have access to a wide range of enrichment activities. These include a joint Humanities trip to Bolton Abbey, a Year 8 trip to Quarry Bank Mill and a Year 10 trip to the National Holocaust Memorial.
Assessment
