
The technical qualification in Engineering will help students to develop the fundamental skills and knowledge required to be successful in the engineering industry.
Students will explore design, production or systems engineering in more detail, preparing them for further study, apprenticeship or work in the sector.

- Grade L2 Merit/5 in any Technology subject
- Grace 4 in English Language
- Grade 5 in Mathematics

Cambridge Technicals – Engineering – OCR
Students will study an extensive range of centre-assessed units wider project based assessment opportunities.

- Principles of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Careers
Once students have gained a Level 3 in Engineering, they may continue their studies at university on any number of design related degrees, or progress onto an apprenticeship or full time employment.
Students can progress onto Architecture, Engineering, Product Design, or other opportunities in the sector.
Enrichment
Students will have the opportunity to engage in two trips in Year 12, including a local visit to examine high quality design, Engineering.
Students will be encouraged to find voluntary work placement opportunities to supplement their learning.
